Nepean grew fast after the war. In Bells Corners, building started in 1950, and Lynwood Village, built from 1958 to 1966, is mostly single-storey bungalows. Centrepointe went up mainly in the 1980s and 1990s, with many townhomes. Barrhaven began in the 1960s and grew quickly from the 1980s on. Most of its homes are townhouses, and neighbourhoods like Half Moon Bay are still being built.
